National Parks on Sunshine Coast Queensland

 Noosa National Park

Occupying the headland at Noosa, the National Park has a dramatic rocky coastline with many beaches and coves. A series of tracks through the National Park offer visitors a chance to explore a beautiful natural wonder.The Noosa Heads and river offers amazing views and a great water play area for holiday makers.
 You can access the park south of Noosa at Peregian Beach or Coolum.

Glass House Mountains National Park

   Glass House Mountains were named by Captain Cook and are fantastic volcanic mountains,south of Caloundra.There are some fabulous scenic drives through the Glass House Mountains. The park is very   popular amongst walkers and climbers due to is fabulous opportunities for bushwalking and rock climbing. The Glass House Mountains also hold a rich Aboriginal history.
   The Glass House Mountains consists of seven distinctive volcanic peaks that rise abruptly from the low plains just south of Caloundra.
  These peaks include Mt Beerwah which is an intermediate climb, Mt Coonowrin which is an advanced climb, Mt Ngungun which is a fairly easy walk, and Mt Tibrogargan which is also an intermediate climb.

 Cooloola National Park

    Cooloola National Park is also known as the Great Sandy National Park, made up of glorious beaches, sparkling lakes, beautiful wildflowers and the pretty Noosa River. Features of the Park include the coloured sandcliffs, long beaches, rain-forests.
 You could try a 4WD trip along the Cooloola Wilderness Trail which leaves from Boreen Point, and continues for 46km. The drive takes you to Rainbow Beach through the beautiful Teewah Coloured Sands, as well as the wreck of the Cherry Venture.
  There are a number of boat tours leaving from Noosa. If you would prefer  you can hire boats from Tewantin and explore on your own.
